-minimum 20, maximum 23 (at all times--if you go over or under you will lose any points accumulated the day(s) your roster is invalid).

-Your team must reach a minimum 1000 (subject to change) games played total per season (including playoffs-even if your team is not in the playoffs), or your team will fall 7 spots in the next entry draft (before lottery, but will be ineligible for 1st overall)
Maximum Roster for 2017/18 - 70 Players (Main Roster + Minor and Prospects Roster)
Maximum Roster for 2018/19 - 80 Players
Maximum Roster for 2019/20 and beyond - 90 Players
If, at any time, a draft pick or trade puts you over max allowed, you will have 24 hours to drop player(s) to put you back to the number allowed.
If not back to the roster limit after 24 hours has expired, it will be done by league officials.
Each GM is responsible for keeping accurate team pages at all times (including player name, position and salary)
Goaltending-Games Played
-maximum 110 games played (not starts) per season total (including Playoffs), all goaltenders on your team
Injury Reserve
-no limit to number of players that can be put on IR, but once they are off IR in the NHL, they must be removed from your IR before next lock-in period. Player on IR still count against the CAP. Players on LTIR (min. 10 games or 24 days will be missed by player) DO NOT count against the CAP. Any player called up to replace a player on LTIR will count against the CAP.

Waiver Eligibility/Free Agent Signing
Waivers apply to players owned by TGDHL Teams (ie Ottawa waives Wade Redden` to the minors - the rest of the GMs may make a claim for him). Any unowned player can only be claimed via the league’s annual Waiver Draft. Players called up from minors are WAIVER EXEMPT
-Any player who is over the age of 21 and has played in more than 150 games (before Oct 1st of each season) must clear waivers to send down to minors.
-Any goaltender who is over the age 22 and has played in more than 75 games (before Oct 1st of each season) must clear waivers to send down to minors.
-Any player who is over the age of 28 (before Oct 1 of each season) must clear waivers to send down to minors.
-Once a player is put on waivers, that player must be subject to waiver wire based on 9 pm EST 3 days from posting date.
-The waiver wire is subject to the waiver order. Reverse standing order of the previous season.
-Once a team has successfully claimed a player they will move to the bottom of the waiver
order.
-No GM is permitted to make two waiver claims in a twenty-four (24) hour period.

-Will consist of 4 rounds and order will be reverse order of regular season standings
-Any player currently unowned by an IFFHL team is eligible. (and previously available to be drafted by NHL)

-Will consist of 5 rounds (we will have a poll on the rounds which will either be 5 or 7 rounds)

Trade Rules
Post your trades in the "Trades Pending Approval" thread.
They will be voted on by trade panel and either passed-3 votes or rejected-3 votes. If approved, the trade becomes official.
Once a trade has been posted by BOTH GMs in Trades Pending Approval, both GMs have to agree to cancel that trade if one GM changes his mind. Once the deal has been approved by 3 Trade Panel Members, it is binding and CANNOT be cancelled.
Traded Players
New GMs will be assigned a trade advisor for 2 weeks to allow for understanding of rules and player value. In the event of a major disagreement in a possible trade, the new GM and trade advisor will discuss with league commissioners
-Any players involved in trades may be assigned to minors, or brought up to your main team - waiver free - provided this is done by the next lock-in period after the trade was made. Trades made become effective in the next lock-in period.

Trade Deadline
4 weeks prior to the beginning of OUR playoffs (for 2017 - February 6).
Trade has to be accepted and posted by both teams by 6 pm eastern.
Trading re-opens the day following end of our playoffs.
PLAYOFFS
-The top 16 teams, regardless of division standings, will make the playoffs.
-The highest placed team plays against the lowest placed team, each round (so divisions and conferences don't really matter. (ie - 1 vs 16, 2 vs 15, 3 vs 14, 4 vs 13...etc).
Beginning 2016 playoffs, the 2-week Championship Final will be 2 1-week lock-ins

**Playoffs will be waiver-free**
There will be a exception for the first year, everyone will be waiver exempt but only to start the season. Once the season have started everyone that aren't waiver exempt need to go threw waiver.
Also from year two and so on we will have 4 exempt tag to use on anyone that aren't waiver exempt.
-SALARY CAP STILL APPLIES DURING PLAYOFFS
